Dr. Voegeli is great, too bad the rest of the staff don't measure up! I will not be back!
So I do not recommend this place.
The tall white lady in the eye glasses section was very rude. When I asked for additional information about my glass prescriptions, she said she needed to charge me money and stared at me like she didn't want me there. My advice to this establishment is, treat your customers fairly. Providing friendly service can go a long way.
If you're curious about the light sensitivity, COSTCO HELPED by letting me see through a blue light AR (anti reflect - anti glare) lens. google it? Costco vision providers were not accepted by my vision insurance at this time.
I did a review and complained about not receiving my prescription, but it turned out to be in my Junk email. This review is to correct the previous one and salute the whole team!
Did they mean to bill my insurance for glasses they didn't give me?
The insurance rep then needed to talk to me because the office wasn't answering her call. Insurance rep said she'd cancel the claim but if I got glasses, they would bill me. I did NOT get glasses from this place, I walked out with a prescription only. NOTHING else. Not even disposable sunglasses for having my eyes dilated.
2. Agree with reviews about reception - very blah - you're obviously a walking dollar sign. It sounded like a sales pitch rather than an alternative eye exam option. $45 for a quicker exam. The regular exam and consult was 20 min (thats pretty fast). Dilation lasts 4 - 6 hrs / you can still see at a distance - just can't focus on phone. (If that is a deal breaker, save $45 by holding your phone at full arms length away from your face or better yet nap to avoid any possible HA).
About me (reviewer): First eye exam in maybe 20 years. Reason for my exam was light sensitivity @ a computer all day (aren't we all?)
1. Check ur vision insurance for what is covered, who you can see, alternative places to get your glasses etc. This place is accepted by Davis Vision (haha one of the providers is Dr. Davis... anyways).
Dr. Davis and his crew are great!
3. Star Earners. Amy is easy to talk to and efficient. Dr. Hoekstra is efficient in the exam and he did answer all my questions. No future plan of care or reassurances. I didn't walk away confident that this place cared about my eye health. Stars for efficiency and their technology - their website is very well done (almost excessive).
Reviews said getting glasses here is a pain, so I asked for the prescription to take with me to get filled at another location.
4. Stars lost @ getting the prescription filled.
I recently moved to the Mill Creek area and was referred to Dr. Davis by a friend. I'm so glad I was!I have worn contact lenses since the 1960s, and have been in my share of doctors offices. I can tell you that this is one of the best! Everyone in the office has been efficient and personable. Dr. Davis, in particular, has been extremely professional, knowledgeable,and very thorough. He has painstakingly adjusted my multifocal contacts to be sure that I have the best possible fit and eyesight. Twice I have been the last patient of the day and had both Dr. Davis and another employee stayed late to be sure that they got everything just right. I have never felt rushed or unimportant in this office. I highly recommend this eye center!
Then Costco had to call my insurance because apparently the office billed my insurance as though they gave me glasses. THEY DIDN'T.
I don't like leaving a provider's office worried...
Costco optical dept rep said she saw the title of the clinic and immediately dreaded needing to call them, because they are rude to any other vendor.
