Both my children, toddlers, have seen Dr. Sara and the experience has been amazing each time (5 visits now and it is still great).
After kids get their teeth thoroughly brushed, and examined, in under 10 minutes, they are given balloons immediately. Positive feedback had my kids smiling and not minding the invasive moment their teeth just had.
What to expect?
I would rate North Star ten stars if I could! We loved Dr. Sara and her staff. Mary Ann, Jessica, and Emily were nothing short of amazing! The whole experience makes you feel right at home. I couldn't have asked for a better dental office for my kids. If you are a military family or just looking for a great pediatric dentist, North Star is the place to go!
After reading the reviews on this place i was really looking forward to coming to North Star Pediatrics. My 4 year old son and 7 years old daughter needed a regular check up. After my sons check up she brought up the fact there are some cavities that are very serious and needed attention rate away. She suggested to put my 4 year old under to do the work and when i asked for other ways to deal with the situation because i was not about to put my son under anesthesia, she down played everything. Then of coarse she had a anesthesiologist she suggested to use which cost 1300( which is not covered by insurance). After reading the bill and her suggested plan for my kids i realized she was trying to do a ton of work that wasn't needed.
The waiting area/ lobby is fun, decorated with a seasonal theme, there is coffee for mom, TV is on kids channel but muted, toys are easy to reach and clean. They have another area further down the hall just for kids with Melissa and Doug puzzle boards.
I could not be happier with Dr. Sara and all of her staff. They are great with my daughter, who had her first appointment at 11 months. We never stress about her regular check ups. Dr. Sara also clipped her lip tie, and it was a great experience. She was in and out for the procedure in under 5 minutes, and didn't seem to be phased at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Sara for routine care and for lip/tongue tie procedures.
When i went to an other dentist to get a second opinion they would not send over the x-rays even after they said they would. So now my kids need to get x-ray's again.
I literally could never say enough nice things about the NSPD office. They are so kind and welcoming. Their office is so tastefully decorated, but still very welcoming to children. They are personable and remember you and your children after just one visit! The entire team is beyond amazing. I have recommended a number of friends here and the time and attention that they take to all of them is exactly what I would have expected!
The hygienist greets you and your kid by name, and address the kid because it is their appointment. They get to play in yet another neat area while the hygienist gets info from you, then Dr. Sara comes to talk to you while kids play. They make the actual teeth examining and cleaning as easy/efficient as possible.
Very Sad to see a "KID'S Dentist" Only looking after there own pocket and what is easy for them instead of whats is BEST FOR THE CHILD
I have recommended this place to several moms, and they agree. It is truly a great pediatric dentistry office.
